Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, Hannah-Mia Hinds is no stranger to the symbiotic relationship that is the artist and the environment that shapes them. A digital photographer with an affinity for fashion and beauty, Hannah-Mia Hinds creates art highlighting subjects of inspiration against backdrops that echo the bold and confident energy of where she calls home. Shooting and creatively directing all her own art, Hannah-Mia captures beyond what’s in front of the camera, fostering interpersonal relationships that bring the life, personality, and character of her subjects to the surface. For her, uncovering the artist in others has always been mutually exciting and self-fulfilling. As a young, Black, creative, Hannah-Mia’s art mirrors the unapologetic way she navigates life, giving you a peek into delightfully messy youth at work. Her perspective on photography as an authentic means of both expression and connection results in a playfully hedonistic and audacious creation of art.
